Chapter 34 The Gamble of Getting into the First Class

After listening to those words, the students in the classroom nodded in agreement.

From the corner of her eye, Song Ye was able to see Tang Mei Ling’s straight back and the arrogance in her smile. The words that seemed like advice were, in fact, an act of stepping onto Song Ye’s face in order to brush up the affection points for the teacher.

“I heard that Class Rep also had the same plan.”

No, it’s not from hearsay. That was what Tang Mei Ling had said arrogantly in the past after bullying and humiliating her. Saying that she will become one of the elites, wanting to become the class belle. Song Ye was reminded all of these after all the ruckus she had made.

To this date, in the name list to register for the exam to enter the first class, a total of two students had registered for it in the fifth class. Seeing that she had successfully blocked the two people that she couldn’t see eye-to-eye, Song Ye felt satisfied and maintained the curl on the corner of her lips that appeared rarely. But when she heard what Wang Tie Chuan had said, she was dumbfounded for a moment,

“You said Xu Zi Hang’s at first class?”

“Yeah, boss performed the best among us academically, even within the first class, he’s also the best. Eh, you didn’t know that?”

Wang Tie Chuan had only realized it after explaining for some time and when he saw Song Ye unhesitatingly shake her head, he then touched his nose awkwardly,

“I thought that… ahem, if you want to enter first class, do you want me to ask Boss to help you out?”

Song Ye shook her head, indicating that she did not need it. Ignoring Wang Tie Chuan’s weird reaction, she then took her exercise book and begin to complete the questions.

Wang Tie Chuan kept thinking on and on, and since he was unable to acquire any information from Song Ye, he was so curious he just blurted out what happened in the class to Xu Zi Hang,

“Boss, between you and Song Ye…. is there really nothing between you and Song Ye?”

At that time, Xu Zi Hang was dumping the love letters he received into the trash can. When he heard that, he raised his brows and asked with a playful face,

“You think I will like her?”

After giving it some thought, Wang Tie Chuan shook his head. It’s not because Song Ye is not pretty, but it’s because his boss has no delicacy.

Xu Zi Hang took his bag and walked towards the entrance. When he saw Wang Tie Chuan standing over there still scratching his ear and cheeks, he purposefully stretched his voice,

Of course, he thinks that Song Ye is more interested in his position of being the leader.

No matter how loud the discussion of the outsiders is, Song Ye was still unperturbed and continue completing her exercise books and reading reference books. A whole week had passed and other than receiving phone calls from Yun Hua, the noisy Song family did not appear, and so, her days passed by peacefully.

A week later, an independent classroom was specially assigned for the exam. A total of around ten students participated in the exam and the questions were set by the teachers in first class. And when the marking was done, the papers and marks would all be released and published from first class.

When Song Ye had completed her paper and prepared to hand it in, she saw Tang Mei Ling who was seated at the first row was still writing diligently. She was so tensed that she was sweating, even though its winter.

“Teacher, I’m done and I want to hand in my paper.”

She handed her test paper in and purposefully made it so that others would hear her. As expected, Tang Mei Ling’s face when she looked up was filled with shock. While she was leisurely walking out of the classroom, she threw the shocked faces of the students to the back of her mind.

As the exam took place during weekends, the school was quiet. She took out a book and settled herself under a big tree, enjoying the quiet and peaceful moment.

Not even half an hour passed by and hasty footsteps can be heard. Following that, a silhouette heavily fell beside her. Song Ye tilted her body to dodge it and what she saw was Wang Tie Chuan looking like an ant in a hot kettle,

“Song Ye, boss, boss was surrounded again. All our men were taken away.”

Wang Tie Chuan looked very worn out. Disregarding the bruises on his face, there are even blood stains on his shirt. It seems like he was beaten up quite badly.

“What happened?”

Song Ye closed the book up but she still had a very calm face and did not even show any indications of moving her body.

Wang Tie Chuan held onto his ribs and explained everything while stuttering,

“It’s the Earth Tiger Gang. Last time boss had, -had offended them. As their members were injured, and so they are here for that. Boss had blocked the dagger that was aimed towards me and so I managed to escape. But, I don’t know who to look for…”

For reasons unknown to him, he remembered the moment Song Ye had saved him at the slope, and without thinking much, he just ran towards the school.

After he had said all of that and calmed down, he then dejectedly lowered his head. Even if Song Ye knew how to fight, the ones they are against are a gangster. It is not something students like them can deal with.

This was the first time Wang Tie Chuan had felt that the gap between him and legit gangsters were so wide that it was unreachable for him.

While he was still feeling lost, there was movement beside him. After the sound of clothing rubbing against each other can be heard, a cold voice said above his head,

“Let’s go, lead the way.”

Wang Tie Chuan raised his head while still feeling dejected. He squinted his eyes at the shadow that was illuminated by the sunlight. He barely was able to see Song Ye’s chin and the deep gaze that was lowered down. The gaze made him felt shocked and hurriedly stood up,

“Over here, they went to the river side.”

Song Ye followed behind him all the way, and when they were near the riverside, they can hear the sound people make when they were having fun and the sound of someone being beaten up and shouted at. When they looked over, they saw a bunch of young men with colorful hair surrounding Xu Zi Hang and his companion in the middle to be trampled and played with.

“Haha! Xu Zi Hang, Young Master Xu. You never would’ve thought that you would have such a day, did you? Since you had ran away last time, let’s see who will be able to save you this time.”
